Frequently Asked
Everything worth knowing about our pieces, orders and the house. Another question? Write to us at info@maisonjoakim.com.
How are your pieces made?+
Each piece is designed in Montreal and made in very small quantities, in specialised workshops in Portugal, Romania and Turkey for denim, all sharing our standards of craft, finish and ethics.
What fabrics do you use?+
For our new collection, we work exclusively with Italian fabrics — wool, silk, cotton — chosen for their texture, their hold over time, and the way they age gracefully. We always favour natural, lasting materials, and avoid synthetics.
Are your pieces made in limited series?+
Yes. We produce in small quantities by choice — to keep close control of quality, avoid overproduction, and give each piece its own character.
How do I order?+
From any product page, choose your size and proceed to checkout. Pay by card; your order ships from Montreal.
How do your pieces fit?+
Our cuts offer a silhouette that is precise yet relaxed. Sizes and fit notes are listed on each product page. If you hesitate between two sizes, write to us — we are glad to advise.
Why are your prices set this way?+
The price of each piece reflects the materials, the craft of the workshops, the rarity of the volumes and the time spent developing it. We make no concession on quality or on the ethics of production, and pay our partners fairly.
Do you ship internationally?+
Yes, we ship from Montreal worldwide, with tracking. Allow around 7 days within Canada, 10 to 14 days for Europe, and 14 days and more for the rest of the world. Costs are calculated at checkout according to destination.
Can I return or exchange a piece?+
You have 14 days from receipt to request a return, on an intact, unworn piece in its original packaging. Write to us first at info@maisonjoakim.com and we will guide you. Exchanges are possible subject to size availability.
Will sold-out pieces be restocked?+
As a rule, no. Each piece belongs to a limited series — part of our commitment not to overproduce. If a piece returns, it will be in a new version, with a reworked fabric or cut.
How do I care for my garments?+
Each piece carries its own care notes. As a rule, we recommend gentle professional cleaning to preserve the natural fibres; some pieces accept a cold hand or machine wash. When in doubt, write to us.
